Role

As a Learning Designer in CADQ Flex team Marek’s role sees him partner with Module and Course Leaders across NTU designing flexible, hybrid and online learning. This serves the Flex Team’s mission to help seamlessly weave online learning with face-to-face provision. Marek’s wide experience at NTU also allows him to make significant contributions to the Flex Team’s Helpdesk service supporting NTU colleagues.

Career overview

Marek started his career at NTU as a researcher and hourly paid lecturer teaching Audio, Visual Sciences and 3D modelling / animation. His passion as a musician, audio engineer and media producer married perfectly with how technologies could be used to help others learn, feel inspired and generally reveal more about the world.

External activity

As part of CADQ’s historic excellence in sustainability Marek was awarded the Green Eco Champion for NTU. Interest in eco living, construction and sustainability at home have recently expanded his activity into permaculture and energy self-sufficiency.

Having a wider interest in instruction and a passion for water sports Marek previously attained instructor level through the NTSU’s Scuba Diving and Sailing clubs.

A keen cyclist Marek took part in an NTU organised charity ride from John O’Groats to Lands End some years ago.
