Role
Carolyn Parsons is a Senior Lecturer at the Nottingham Law School. Carolyn joined NTU in 2015 and teaches on PG and UG courses, utilising her expertise from legal practice to teach on civil and commercial modules. She is a module leader on a number of LPC and SQE modules.
Carolyn also has a research interest in criminal law – specifically sexual offences. She is co module leader of the UG module Sexuality and the Law.
Career overview
Carolyn completed the BPTC and was called to the Bar. She then completed the QLTT and qualified as a solicitor. She specialised in all aspects of commercial litigation and contentious and non-contentious insolvency. Her experience included acting for large private companies in relation to contractual disputes and acting for insolvency practitioners on a range of insolvency matters. Carolyn is also an ADR ODR International Accredited Civil/Commercial Mediator.
