Role
Neil supports the successful development of researchers. This is a key role in delivering the University’s ambition to develop and nurture the next generation of researchers, increase our capability and capacity for research, and continue to build an ambitious, supportive, and inclusive environment in which researchers can excel. Core to the role is development and delivery of a portfolio of researcher development interventions across the full range of career stages, from postgraduate researchers to research leaders.
Neil works in close collaboration with academic schools and professional services colleagues to support the achievement of local and University research plans and priorities. He designs, delivers, and evaluates learning and development, including a range of digital and online content to complement face-to-face delivery.
Neil was the Conference Convenor for the Academic Book Publishing Conference 2023 at NTU.
