Louise was appointed as the Director of HR and commenced in role on the 1 February 2021. She has strategic responsibility for the HR and OD functions including Health, Safety and Wellbeing, Equality and Inclusivity, Resourcing and Reward and Recognition.
Prior to her appointment at NTU Louise has held senior strategic level roles at Salford University, Newcastle University and the University of Sheffield. HR is Louise’s second career having previously worked in health and social care. She has studied applied sociology as an undergraduate at Leicester University where she also gained a Master’s degree in Law and Employment Relations prior to completing her studies for an MSC in HRM at Sheffield Hallam University. Louise is a Fellow of the CIPD.
When she is not at work Louise enjoys being outdoors either gardening or walking her dog in the Peak Park. She is keen to support the community in which she lives and has been a magistrate for twenty years and is a Trustee for St Luke’s Hospice.
