Caroline is a Senior Lecturer in Developmental Psychology. She teaches final year students on the undergraduate course, and postgraduate students on MA Applied Child Psychology.

Caroline supervises undergraduate and postgraduate projects and supervises PhD students.

She teaches on the following modules:

  • Motivation in Education Project lab
  • Motivation in Education (third-year module)
  • Cognitive psychology and the classroom (module leader)
  • MSc Child in Context (module leader).

Research areas

Caroline’s PhD and accompanying research focussed on Maths Anxiety and mathematical performance in primary schools. Recently Caroline has been researching maths anxiety and transition in secondary schools, statistics anxiety in both undergraduate and postgraduate students, and collaborative learning in online and face-to-face contexts.

Caroline is part of the Education, Motivation and Learning Research Group (EDMAL).
