Role

Cat Lazenby is a lecturer in the Primary Education team, working across the undergraduate and postgraduate teacher training courses. She primarily teaches humanities, the arts, and the EYFS, and she supports students with their final year Independent Studies research projects and their leadership and management module. She is also a University Link Tutor for trainees on placement on both the BA (Hons) and the PGCE routes.

Career overview

Prior to joining NTU in 2023, Cat worked for 15 years as a primary school teacher, in a range of subject and phase leadership roles, including Pupil Premium Lead, PSHE Lead, Music Lead and EYFS Phase Lead. She led CPD relating to EYFS for colleagues in her own school, and across other schools within a large academy trust.
