Louise is the Head of NTU Netball. Louise oversees 2 performance squads, 5 BUCS Squads, 2 Development Squads, 18 Team Intermural League and support's the delivery of NTU Play for Fun Netball. Alongside managing the recruitment of athletes, Louise delivers a high-performance programme and environment to enable the development of our athletes. Building strong links to the Super League Franchise enabling opportunities for NSL/ NPL U19 and U21 selection. Louise also has multiple links to international squads which support international athletes who represent their countries during University and beyond.

Role

Performance Netball was introduced to NTU Sport in 2017, since its inaugural year Louise has shaped, driven and built a sector leading Netball performance programme, pushing promotions and successfully competing in the BUCS Premier League North. Louise has developed a range of external partnership with both Netball Franchise and international Netball leads in order to enable athlete pathways from National Performance League, Netball Super League and international representation. Alongside building a fantastic Athlete Lifestyle support and Strength and conditioning programme, supporting athletes both on and off the court.

Career overview

After graduating from Leeds Beckett with a degree in Sport and Recreation development, Louise spent most of her early career in secondary education coordinating; student support, careers education and delivering student enterprise workshops. As a result, Louise is able to offer a unique insight to duel - athlete support, ensuring that an athlete Centred approach is at the heart of the Netball performance programme.

External activity

Louise has extensive coaching experience (18+ years) delivering within the England Netball Performance pathways from County Academy, Regional Academy to National Performance League. Louise has developed her coaching extensively during the past 10 years across the Loughborough Lightning super League Franchise, academy age groups (From U15s to U21s). Louise has spent the past 6 years coaching the Lightning U21s, producing some of the most exciting young talent in both England Future Roses and the Netball Super League, assisting the U21s to National Performance League/ tournament championships. As netball moves into its professionalisation in 2025 Louise is excited to be moving forward with developing the new generation of Super League players in the Newly introduced U23s Development League.
