My favourite part of the course has been hearing from guest lecturers. It is always good to hear advice from someone who is experienced in the industry.

More about Aleksandra

“The BSc (Hons) Equine Sports Science course teaches you about almost every aspect of the equine industry. Throughout the course, I have had a lot of practical sessions and work with the horses on the yard, which has complemented my lectures.

“During my course I did a year-long placement at Rood and Riddle Equine hospital in Kentucky, USA. I worked as an equine vet nurse and I absolutely loved it. It motivated me a lot for my final year and it gave me the opportunity to bring skills into practice that I had learnt on my course.

“I had a lot of help from the Employability team when I was looking for a placement, and am looking for their help again now when trying to figure out what to do when I graduate.”
