What do you enjoy most about your course at NTU? 

“In our department, the most interesting thing is that we always attend courses with students in other fields, like illustration or graphic design. This enables us to build our knowledge and practice skills in different areas. My illustration tutor Sarah always answers my questions patiently, and gives me a lot of advice.”

What made you choose to study at NTU?

“I chose to study MA Branding and Identity at NTU because of my existing graphic design knowledge, and I liked how the course was organised. I also like that I’m able to improve my skills in illustration through this course, which is beneficial for my career.”

How do you find the course staff?

“I think all of my course staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. They support us on the course, and also share academic knowledge beyond our course to help us further.”

What do you think about the facilities available to you?

“I think the facilities in the School of Art & Design are really helpful and useful. For example, in our LEAP branding project, we needed to take some professional photos, but we did not have a professional camera to do that. We were able to borrow a camera from the school and with the support of our tutors, we managed to finish our project for LEAP.”

As an international student, what do you like about studying and living in Nottingham?

“As an international student, I enjoy living and studying in Nottingham. There are great recreational facilities to relax after classes, such as museums, galleries, and cinemas.”

Why would you recommend your course to someone thinking of studying it?

“I would recommend the MA Branding and Identity course as it offers variety. You’ll learn skills in different areas throughout the year which will help with your career. Our tutors also give us opportunities to take part in design competitions or live projects such as LEAP, NTU’s Creative Industry Expo.”
