What is your favourite thing about your course?
One of my favourite aspects of the course is the emphasis on practical, hands-on experience. Working on real-world projects, like the branding initiative for the 'Skilled Hands Organisation Nottingham,' allows me to apply classroom learning to actual marketing scenarios, reinforcing my understanding and boosting my confidence. The collaborative environment also fosters creativity and encourages me to explore innovative ideas with my peers.
Have you taken part in academic mentoring? What has this involved?
Yes, I participated in academic mentoring with Maher Daboul, who has been incredibly supportive. Our regular sessions helped me discuss my progress, identify areas for improvement, and reflect on my mistakes, boosting my understanding and confidence.
Can you tell us a bit about your placement?
I am currently a Marketing Assistant at Xeros Technology, gaining hands-on experience in social media management and campaign execution. I work closely with the marketing team, contributing to strategies that promote our innovative technologies. With an amazing mentor and a supportive team, I've enhanced my learning and applied my theoretical knowledge to real-world scenarios, improving my skills in market analysis and audience engagement.

Yes, I found it easy to make friends at NTU thanks to the welcoming environment and numerous opportunities for social interaction through events and group projects.

The support at NTU is outstanding. Course staff are approachable and knowledgeable, and the Employability team has provided valuable career advice and resources for job placements. Interactive events at the global lounge and the student union also foster connections and enhance the student experience.

What's next for you after NTU?
After NTU, I plan to become an entrepreneur and establish myself as a brand manager. I'm excited to leverage the skills and knowledge I've gained during my studies to build my own brand and make a meaningful impact in the marketing industry.
