What made you choose to study at NTU?
“Upon attending an open day at NTU, I quickly learned how easily accessible the facilities are. A lot of other universities have very dispersed campuses; however Nottingham Business school is located in the heart of Nottingham city centre, everything is within a 5minute walk.”
What were the key features that attracted you to your course?
“The NTU BA International Business Course is truly international. A lot of International Business courses only contain a few international elements; however, at NTU every module has been adjusted to have an international focus.”
What do you enjoy most about your course?
“The family environment. Amongst students and staff, there is a real family atmosphere. Everyone is happy to support each other, work together and share advice and experiences.”
What do you think about the course staff. How do they support your learning and University experience?
“The course team members really care about each of the students. They are happy to help you, no matter how big or small. Whether it is some advice on applying for a job, making module selections, looking over your C.V, or even just having a catch up about life, they will always have time for you.”
What do you like about studying and living in Nottingham?
"NTU is based right in the heart of the city. The city has everything; great food, culture, pubs, sports with a rich heritage. Being in Nottingham, you get the advantages of being in a city, but everything’s so close together."
Why would you recommend your course / NTU to someone looking to study in that area?
“The International Business Course is truly international, all modules have an international element, which helps when applying for internationally focused jobs. The course has practical teaching elements, which help you develop key industry skills. For example, in my Digital Marketing Strategy Module, we acquire a Google Analytics Certificate as a part of the course, which is highly regarded in the industry.”
What work experience/placement have you completed?
“I completed a 12 months placement at NBCUniversal, which was extended to 14months. I worked in the Global Ad Sales department based in London. My team leveraged NBC & Universal properties to create brand partnerships internationally. My placement gave me a strong indication that advertising is the industry I’d like to work in. The international element from my studies allowed me to work internationally with ease.”
