I didn’t expect to have so many meetings with real-life business people. It was a very good experience to have an opportunity to discuss problems and challenges in organisations and how they are usually solved.

More about Paulina

Why did you choose NTU and your course?

As a person raised among business minded family members, I have always understood the importance of leading the company and the people that create it with a steady hand and a clear goal in mind. The intriguing yet sparse classes of management that I took during my undergraduate course only managed to whet my appetite for learning about the principles of operating effectively within organisational environments. Hence, choosing Management at Nottingham Trent University was for me a natural and necessary continuation of my interest in the topic.

Does the “real” NTU match what you’d imagined? What stood out about the experience?

The knowledge I gained at NTU definitely matches what I’d imagined. I learned a lot that I’ll be able to use in the future. I didn’t expect to have so many meetings with real-life business people. It was a very good experience to have an opportunity to discuss problems and challenges in organisations and how they are usually solved. I learned how I can work with different people from various countries and cultures and that’s an unforgettable experience that I couldn’t have in any other place.

How would you promote NTU to potential students in 10 words or fewer?

An excellent University that will broaden your horizons and help you grow.

Why did you decide to study a postgraduate degree?

I couldn’t imagine myself in the future without a postgraduate degree. I always knew I’ll do it eventually. Also, during my undergraduate degree, I learned about my future possibilities. My postgraduate degree helped me to develop my true vocation.

Would you recommend studying at Nottingham Business School? Why?

Yes, NBS gives you a lot of opportunities for your future employment. I’ve not only gained lots of knowledge there, but also learnt a lot about myself, about my skills, strengths and weaknesses and how I can use them in my future.

What’s next for you after NTU?

Currently, I’m doing an internship in Amsterdam and then I’m planning to join my family’s business.
