Why did you choose NTU in Mansfield and your course?

“I’ve always wanted to work within the ambulance sector and the university made this possible. By making it accessible to mature students who would otherwise not be able to, I can access a change in career with family and mortgage commitments. The locality away from a city centre is also made a difference due to travel times alongside school commitments.”

What has stood out about NTU in Mansfield?

“The level of commitment from the staff to make a smooth start to a new course. The site and equipment are second to none.”

Can you tell us a bit about your placement?

“I have arranged a placement in my local surgery to add to my experience which I really enjoyed getting a little reality alongside the education. I’m really looking forward to placement.”

What is your favourite thing about your course?

“My favourite thing is being in the building on practical days. The course facilities are 10 out of 10, brand new. Everything we need is accessible and it’s been easy to make friends at NTU in Mansfield – our cohort is great and the tutors are fabulous too.”

What’s next for you after NTU in Mansfield?

“I’m looking to go into a career with the East Midlands Ambulance Service.”
