More about Zac
"I chose to study Criminology at NTU after attending an open day and seeing how much this university had to offer. I've always had a strong interest in the Criminal Justice System which meant Criminology within the School of Social Sciences would be the right degree for me.
"The first year really covered all the areas of crime that I thought it would, and it allows you to decide what aspects of the course you prefer. There are loads of useful opportunities to gain real life experience during your studies. During my second year, I took part in a pilot study at Lowdham Grange Prison called Learning Together – a programme that enables people serving prison sentences and higher education students to study alongside each other. I returned to the second running of this project as a class facilitator in my final year.
"The facilities within the School of Social Sciences are great along with really helpful tutors. I've found the level of support incredible in terms of the advice I've received regarding both the course and decisions for my future opportunities.
"The course has solidified my interest in this topic and has provided me with many more considerations for my future. It covers many different aspects of criminology which opens up many different possible career choices.
"It would be a very good choice to come study at the School of Social Sciences with great facilities and some great staff. The knowledge within the department is second to none and will provide you with the perfect platform to complete your degree. The rest is down to you."
