More about Abigail

Why did you choose NTU and your course?

I chose NTU because of my course! NTU was one of the few universities that offered international law.

What recent assignments have you had? What has stood out?

As a final year students, my dissertation is my most recent assignment. I have actually just submitted it. I am so proud of my efforts. It is amazing to reflect back on all the work I have done and to see it come together in the end.

What marks out of 10 would you give for course facilities and why?

10 out of 10! The law school itself has plenty of space for studying and the seminar rooms and lecture theatres are always nice.

Does the “real” NTU match what you’d imagined? How does it compare with your friends experience at other universities?

My friends are all scattered around the world so it is difficult to compare universities. However, I feel the ‘real’ NTU is much better than I imagined.

How would you promote NTU to potential students in 10 words  or fewer?

It is a really nice place to study.

What three words would you use to describe Nottingham?

Exciting, Beautiful, Different

Nottingham is one of the UK’s best student cities. Agree or disagree?

It is definitely one of the best! The night life is top notch and the shops are lovely.

Where would you recommend visiting in Nottingham?

Hockley and definitely make sure you see a Panthers game.

Where is a good place to live as a student?

I lived in West Bridgford so I 100% recommend there. It is a little bit further out of town but it has its own shops and it is so safe. It has lots of little bars and cafes and a great park!

Did you find it easy to make friends at NTU?

Absolutely! It just came so naturally and everyone was so friendly.

If you had a (non-academic) problem. Who would you talk to? What would you do?

My personal tutor! They always give great advice and can signpost me if need be.

Has the employability team helped you plan for life beyond NTU?

They are always sending out really helpful emails about how to plan for graduate life.

Still need help?
