My course contents are really great as they are related to the real job role when graduate so I could understand what I need to do
As a mature student, I’ve found NTU really welcoming and flexible. The facilities are excellent, and I genuinely can’t think of anything that could improve them. The support available is on another level: NTU makes a real effort to explain the help on offer for different situations and needs, and regularly reminds you where to find it. It feels like there’s something available to support everyone, whatever their circumstances or stage of life. There’s also a huge range of extracurricular activities through the Students’ Union, with so many opportunities to get involved and find something that suits you. I honestly can’t fault the experience.
Pretty good university, Just needs to work on assisting students
Really nice university loads of support available
Friend staff good and clean campus
They need to help change the WiFi
Great accommodation full of lovely students amazing atmosphere makes me happy as a person I’m so excited for next year to book fusion as it’s my top recommendation for all Nottingham students . Little parties in the lobby boost the atmosphere almost like a luxury all inclusive hotel hahah. In general great accom
most oerfect place to live in i love it so much here ill live here again hundred percent so good soo good staff is friendly they always help us whenever we need it social and fun !!!!!!!
I love my university #gotigers
Modern and good facilities very usefull
Good university, amazing experience. University life here was so good, after graduating from my undergraduate degree, I decided to come back and study a postgraduate afterwards!
I genuinely love NTU! I was initially worried about choosing a former polytechnic university, but the quality of teaching, facilities and student support have exceeded my expectations. The university genuinely cares about its students and creates a real sense of community. Nottingham's nightlife is great, the Students' Union facilities are brilliant, and you're encouraged to join societies and get involved. I stayed at Trinity Square, which wasn't the best experience due to building works and lift issues, but I always felt safe and met so many like-minded people. Overall, I love Nottingham and would definitely recommend NTU. It's a university that really supports you both during and after your degree!
clifotn campus has great facilities with high quality lab equiptment, however some rooms can have realitviely poor connections and more often than not lecturers have to do attendance using pen or paper which never makes it around the whole lecture hall. The societies are brilliant and there are many great options.
I really enjoy being on campus of Nottingham Trent University, it feels like a real community every time I am here.
NTU is a great option as a university, the campus is easy to get around and there are many facilities available for different interests, The staff also provides a lot of support both financially and academically so you never feel like you’re struggling alone.
My experience at Nottingham Trent University has been positive overall. The university offers a good learning environment, supportive staff and opportunities to develop both academic and practical skills. There is always room for improvement. But overall, it is a good place to study and prepare for your future career
Been at Brackenhurst campus for a few years and love it!! Especially in the spring it’s such a nice place to be, lecturers are friendly and educated, lots of support provided. Great library and support services in there too!
Brilliant university I couldn't recommend it enough. If your ever in doubt just go for it. You won't regret it.
I think the campus itself has nothing wrong with it, it is just fine, It just comes down to some of the quality of lecturers and teachers that they seem to hire here. It is very hit or miss, in the computer science department anyway, some teachers who cannot be bothered to teach. I get its more about self study but some teachers do not even try in our labs, some have quite condescending and rude attitudes towards students that ask for help. And some that are absolutely incredible and go out of their way to help you in any way they can!
A lot of people really undermine how good of a student experience you can have at NTU and it doesn’t have to be clubbing at all. NTU is super diverse and everyone can find the right thing for them.
Such good support offered and asomany services through out the university with specific course help as well
I think that the psychology department at NTU are really good and all my teachers have been amazing. They’re all very helpful and will respond to any queries that you have. They also consistently ask for feedback on your modules and change things every year if improvements need to be made , due to the students feedback. The student life in the city is amazing, student nights at level and the security on campus is 24/7 which makes you feel safe on a city campus. One thing that i find difficult about studying in nottingham is the difficulty in trying to find part time work. I think it’s so hard here as it’s such a huge student populated city that evryone is applying for the same jobs and it makes it very competitive. I lived on campus first year in Byron as i didn’t realise i had any other choice, but i then realised how expensive it is compared to private accommodations around the city. However, i loved living on campus as it was perfect location, and social. I’m happy that i chose NTU
great uni with so many course options. lots of societies too. great night life
I love it at NTU. The uni is very supportive and has excellent facilities. The location is central, meaning it is easy for students to get to.
I have had an amazing time at NTU. I studied here for undergrad and now I am doing postgrad here as well. The staff are really helpful and have lots of interesting research. The campus/facilities are great and based in the city centre. Student life is amazing here due to the city centre location. Loads of societies to gte involved in and loads of events going on at the SU- both drinking and non-alcoholic related
I’m enjoying my business degree, my accomidation location is perfect and love the social life that comes with it, however the room itself could do with improvements like the bed and bathroom.
Really good support with academic life, wellbeing and good food too.
I am extremely satisfied with my overall experience at Nottingham Trent University (NTU), particularly due to the dedication, professionalism, and enthusiasm demonstrated by its lecturers. They consistently show a genuine commitment to students' academic development, both during and beyond scheduled teaching hours. I particularly recall a criminology lecture after which a student engaged in an extended discussion with the lecturer about their academic background and perspectives on the subject. Although the lecturer was under no obligation to continue the conversation, they dedicated approximately an hour to answering questions and exchanging ideas. This experience highlighted the exceptional approachability and commitment of NTU's academic staff. Furthermore, lecturers demonstrate an impressive ability to explain complex concepts clearly, often incorporating real-world examples to make theoretical material more accessible and engaging.
My overall experience at Nottingham Trent University has been very positive. The university provides a welcoming and supportive environment for students, with great opportunities to develop both academically and personally. The lecturers are knowledgeable, approachable and supportive, and the courses are well structured, with a good balance of theoretical knowledge and practical learning. The campus facilities are modern, including well-equipped libraries, study spaces, computer rooms and social areas. Accommodation options are convenient, and Nottingham is a great city for students, with affordable places to eat, shop and socialise. The university also offers plenty of societies, sports clubs and events, making it easy to meet new people and make friends. One area that could be improved is the workload during busy assessment periods, as deadlines can sometimes feel overwhelming. However, there is support available when needed. Overall, I would recommend Nottingham Trent University
The university afford for us everything needed.
