Event details

Net-zero by 2050 presents a huge challenge to the construction sector, which accounts for up to 50% of carbon emissions. An absence of skills, knowledge and expertise threaten to derail plans to retrofit the current building stock and achieve our carbon reduction ambitions.

The opportunity of low carbon skills to level up is crucial given the socio-economic challenges facing Nottinghamshire.

To address this challenge Nottingham Trent University has invested £1.5 m in a new Centre for Sustainable Construction & Retrofit in the School of Architecture, Design and Built Environment.

We invite you to find out more about the centre and how you can partner with us to address this challenge.

This event is open to policy makers, business leaders, academics and students as we come together to both understand the scale of the problem, and co-create the solutions together.
