Join WRAP's Becky Cullen for a discussion with Faber and Penguin writer Ashley Hickson-Lovence. They'll be talking about Your Show, Ashley's novel about Uriah Rennie – the first Black Premier League referee, as well as chatting about Wild East, Ashley's forthcoming novel. Talking poetry, masculinity, and red cards, you'll wish there was extra time.

WRAP is back with another live literary event at Metronome, this time with brilliant Faber and Penguin writer Ashley Hickson-Lovence.

Ashley will be in conversation with poet and WRAP Director Becky Cullen.

Ashley was born in London in 1991 and is a former secondary school English teacher. He has a PhD in Creative and Critical Writing from the University of East Anglia and leads and teaches courses for the Faber Academy and Arvon, amongst others. In his spare time, using his experience as a football referee, he formally observes semi-professional referees for the FA. His debut novel The 392 was released with OWN IT! in April 2019. His second novel Your Show, based on the life and career of former Black football referee Uriah Rennie, was released with Faber in April 2022.
