Enterprising Ashfield is a project that supports businesses in and around Kirkby-in-Ashfield and Sutton-in-Ashfield to innovate and grow. The project is delivered by NTU, in partnership with Ashfield District Council and is part-funded by the Government’s Town Fund.

This event is the fourth in a series run by Enterprising Ashfield, designed to support the future of businesses within the Kirkby-in-Ashfield and Sutton-in-Ashfield Towns Fund Area.

Our colleagues from NTU's Department of Computer Science can talk you through the latest developments and demonstrate how they can help you implement changes to save you time and money. Here's our list of speakers and the topic areas they will cover and can support you with...

Dr Beverley Cook will discuss user experience (UX). Do you have an idea for a mobile app? By using user experience research and design techniques we can help you support and enhance your business.

Dr David Funchall will be looking at governance and compliance. Is your organisation compliant to international and national governance standards? Find out how we can support effective performance, responsible stewardship and ethical behaviour in your business.

Dr Jon Robinson will discuss how we can advise on the IT security needs of you company. From security audits to providing strategies and application of new technology within your business. He also talk about data-driven insights and how you can transform operations and drive growth by embracing machine learning.

Dr Zoheir Ezziane talks about Smart Technologies and how they can be integrated to benefit your business.

Dr Amin Safaei will talk about their software design consultancy and how they can employ a strategic approach to design and align with your business goals.

As well as talking about the support available through the Enterprising Ashfield project, there’ll be the opportunity to book a one-to-one session with one of the team to talk through any particular issues your business is facing to see how we can help.
