As part of National Interfaith Week 2024 we'll be hosting an event called Faith to Build Character. At the event you'll hear from diverse faith representatives as they discuss the role of faith in shaping moral character and navigating today’s complex challenges.

This unique event offers you the chance to hear from a diverse line up of faith leaders, student faith societies and student Faith Ambassadors as they discuss the role of faith in shaping moral character and navigating today’s complex challenges.
Whether you're exploring your own beliefs or simply interested in learning more about the power of faith and community, this is a fantastic opportunity to gain fresh perspectives and connect with others.
Our guest speakers at the event include:
Karamjit Landa is Director of a property company called Sherwood Properties (Nottm) Ltd. The company specialises in BTL housing, apartments, student HMOs and short-term rentals. Karamjit studied Law and graduated with an LLB and LPC from NTU in 2008. He will be speaking from a Sikh perspective.
Dr Musharraf Hussain is a distinguished scholar and visionary. He is the Chief Executive of Karimia Institute (Nottingham, UK). He has received numerous accolades for his outstanding services to community relations in Britain, including an OBE in 2008. Dr Hussain has held leadership positions in various organisations and continues to inspire and contribute to the intellectual and spiritual growth of the Muslim community in the UK and beyond.
Pastor Labi Mebude is dedicated to youth pastorship at Gods Vineyard Church in the UK. He holds a first degree in Biomedical Sciences along with a diploma in Theology and Biblical Studies. He is also an NTU Chaplain, a practitioner in Neurolinguistic Programming and he is also a relationship and dating coach.
Reverend Richard Davey is the NTU Coordinating chaplain and a Senior Research Fellow in Fine Arts. He provides specialist student and staff support to the University particularly around bereavement support. Richard will be speaking from a Christian perspective.
Khush Manji is an Accounting and Finance student at NTU and he is also president of the NTU Hindu Society where he leads a diverse team in organising cultural events, promoting community engagement, and fostering a supportive environment for all members.
Payal Sood is the Vice Chair of the Hindu Temple Nottingham on Carlton road, Chair Person Of the Multi Faith Asian Advisory Group to the Police of Nottingham and Executive Committee member of Kala Niketan Hindi School.
We will also be hearing from some of our NTU Faith Ambassadors.
