Angela Birmpili, our Intellectual Property Commercialisation Officer, brings her wealth of expertise to guide you through the IP landscape. Discover how to leverage IP for your business success. During the session Angela will;

  • outline what intellectual property (IP) is and how to harness it for your commercial strategy.
  • help you understand the various types of IP protection, with a focus on patents.
  • give a detailed explanation of the patenting process, including criteria for patentability, freedom to operate, and patenting abroad.
  • offer insights into the timescales and costs involved in patenting.
  • answer your IP questions.

More about our speaker: Angela Birmpili is the Intellectual Property Commercialisation Officer at Nottingham Trent University, bringing her wealth of IP expertise to this session. Part of her role is day to day management of Nottingham Trent University’s patent portfolio and advising academic colleagues on IP matters. She offers advice on the IP position on contractual documentation and works with colleagues to find the best options for commercializing their IP.
