In today's dynamic and ever-changing professional landscape, resilience stands out as a crucial skillset for navigating challenges, setbacks, and uncertainties.

Join this ADBE Community event to hear from a range of industry partners and academic colleagues about their experiences of resilience and overcoming barriers and to be inspired by our keynote speaker.

Keynote talk

A Great Big Onion: Peeling back the layers of motivation - Jonathan Hale, Offgrid Coaching

In this session, Jonathan will use effective metaphors to share insight of the key tools that build resilience and sustain motivation. Giving you the opportunity to use a range of simple, yet effective coaching tools to help you overcome barriers, you will find for yourself the impact of isolating, understanding and immersing yourself in the heart of the change you desire.

Open to all ADBE students and staff, the event will include short presentations, a panel discussion, and some informal networking over refreshments.  An option to join part of the event online will also be available

Speaker bios

Jonathan Hale: Offgrid Coaching

Having worked in education, in both Primary and Secondary teaching for 15 years, Jonathan has an in-depth knowledge of the key principles that enable individuals to learn and develop. Now specialising in coaching techniques whilst working in the HE sector, he communicates with simplicity, clarity and insight, sharing tools that empower you to grab the moment and push forwards from a position of strength.

This combination of teaching expertise, coaching principles, and Jonathan’s passion for the use of powerful metaphors, will inspire and motivate you, securing any change you are searching for.
