Book your free place on this guided tour of Nottingham Cathedral.

Join this guided tour of the Cathedral Church of St Barnabas, a Grade II listed building in the city centre. Designed by renowned architect Augustus Welby Northmoor Pugin, it was dedicated in 1844 and raised to the status of Cathedral in 1850. Pugin, a key pioneer of the Gothic Revival architectural style, also  helped design the interior of the Houses of Parliament in London.

The National Heritage Lottery Funded Restoring Pugin Project will be the highlight of the tour. You'll learn about the Cathedral's early decorative schemes and plans to revive them for future audiences, and have the opportunity to meet the conservators involved.

Cost: Free 
2 pm: Meet at Newton reception (Goldsmith Street), NTU City Campus and walk together to Nottingham Cathedral (leaving promptly at 2.15 pm)
2.30 pm: Guided tour of the Cathedral
