Calling all student bands and singer/songwriters! Make the most of our fabulous Music Centre and the experience of Band Programme coordinator Joe Egan, and use this free session to rehearse or get support with song writing, recording or setting up your instrument. If you're looking for other musicians to collaborate and create with, Joe can help with that too!

This activity is only open to NTU and Confetti HE students.

Our Band Programme is here to help you achieve your musical vision – whether that’s millions of streams, touring the world or simply meeting up and playing some tunes.

These regular Wednesday night sessions are hosted by Band Programme coordinator and guitarist Joe Egan. They're an opportunity for you to:

  • book space to rehearse;
  • discover other student musicians to collaborate with (via our Band Book); or
  • seek advice from Joe – whether that's how to restring your guitar or set up a drum kit, or support with recording or song writing.

And you don't need to be a band to take part, solo musicians are very welcome too.

Book a rehearsal slot
There are usually four practice spaces available in the Music Centre for Band programme members to book, across two time slots. Each space has a drum kit and guitar amp, and microphones are available to borrow. The slots run between 6.30 – 8 pm and 8 – 9.30 pm. Book practice space in advance online.
