What’s this session about?
To celebrate our 13th session, we’ve not one, but two great speakers exploring different ‘mystic methods’ for navigating uncertainty and using design as a catalyst for creating better futures.
About the talks
Harnessing ‘Futures Thinking’ in UX
Lauren Fridlington will share the concept of Futures Thinking, exploring its significance in user experience (UX) design. She will highlight how this approach can enhance innovation, resilience and adaptability, empowering UX designers to better anticipate and design for the users of tomorrow.
Random as a Strategy
Matt Ballentine draws upon the research from his upcoming book to explore how randomness might provide a sensible strategic approach when confronted with complex problems to which there is no right answer.
Drawing on sources as diverse as immunology, psychology and many, many cups of coffee, the session will also give attendees three simple yet powerful tools that they can take back into their own work.
Who should come along?
Whether you're new Service Design, curious or seasoned design pro, join us for an evening of enlightening discussions and a shared spirit of discovery!
Anything else?
There'll be plenty of time for drinks, nibbles, and conversations!
