The Auditory Science Meeting (ASM2025) was organised by NTU Hearing Research Group and colleagues from University of Nottingham Hearing Sciences. The event took place on Thursday 4th – Friday 5th September 2025.
Overview
The Auditory Science Meeting is an annual meeting where hearing scientists from around the UK and beyond present their latest research, meet, catch-up and so on. The meeting has existed in one form or another since 1977, and has previously been called ‘Basic Auditory Science (BAS)’ and ‘BSA short papers meeting’.
ASM2025 took place at Nottingham Trent University, in Nottingham City Centre (UK), and was hosted jointly by the NTU Hearing Research Group and University of Nottingham Hearing Sciences.
The 2025 meeting continued in the vein of BSA Short Papers meetings of legend, with a mix of talks and plenty of time for posters and talk. Delegates submitted abstracts, with the option to offer to present a talk or poster (or both). Talks were selected from among the submissions. The remainder (space allowing) were presented as posters.
