    Developing detectors for large telescopes and visiting them in remote places on Earth is the dream of many an astronomy student. Our own Eimear Gallagher (NTU) - awarded the Undergraduate Prize 2019 by the Royal Astronomical Society - did just that and will be telling us more about her placement year in her talk “CHARMing” – My year developing an international scientific instrument at RAL Space.
