Coronavirus Update NTU Music

Due to the uncertain times we are currently experiencing as a consequence of COVID-19, we have taken the decision to close our facilities and cancel or postpone events in our concert season.

Stay Connected with NTU Music

Although face-to-face activities have ceased, the NTU Music team are running weekly virtual rehearsals for a number of ensembles, including the Choir and Gospel Choir. If you enjoy singing and would like to join either group, email music@ntu.ac.uk to find out more.

Follow NTU Music on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook for all the latest updates.

Closure of the NTU Music Centre

To ensure the safety of our students, staff and community members, the Music Centre is closed until further notice.

This includes access to the centre to use practice facilities or to collect instruments stored there.

Frequently Asked Questions

When will the Music Centre reopen?

At present, the Music Centre is closed until further notice, as we continue to follow government guidance. We will communicate via email, social media and the NTU Music website when we are able to reopen.

Are rehearsals cancelled?

There are weekly virtual rehearsals for the Choir, Chamber Choir, and Gospel Choir. If you are already a member, you’ll receive an email each week with rehearsal information. If you would like to join either the Choir or Gospel Choir, contact music@ntu.ac.uk to find out more.

Due to the limitations of technology, instrumental ensembles are not able to rehearse virtually.

What is the best way to get in contact with you during the closure?

Email music@ntu.ac.uk if you have any questions or queries. We aim to respond within two working days.

We are continuing to review the situation and will keep our members as up to date as possible.
