The Nottingham Games

The Nottingham Games took place on Sunday 13 June, which saw 14 fixtures take place across the NTU Clifton Campus and University of Nottingham, David Ross Sports Village. The games presented an action-packed day, full of friendly fixtures, complete with a good dose of healthy rivalry, against our neighbours The University of Nottingham.

NTU hosted Badminton, Ultimate Frisbee, and Men’s Lacrosse, with both Badminton and Lacrosse having live streams on the day.

The Nottingham Games came into fruition after it was clear that our usual Varsity tournament could not take place, due to the challenges we faced with the global pandemic. The Games were subsequently created as a final send off to both our clubs and student athletes, as a final thank you for all their hard work this academic year. The Games provided a great opportunity to organise a series of friendly fixtures and also provide our students with one last opportunity to play competitive sport.

The games showcased excellent sporting action from NTU players, including a number of fantastic wins for NTU, special congratulations and recognition goes to;

  • Men Handball
  • Men’s Basketball
  • Women’s Handball
  • Men’s Futsal

We are so proud of all our players that took part in the competition and look forward to organising a full Varsity tournament next academic year.

If you missed out on the action from the Nottingham Games, you can watch the recorded streams from a number of the games on the NTU Sport Facebook page.
