The wall will feature poetry selected from submissions by students, staff and the general public.
A panel of judges will choose the winning submission, which will be drawn onto the side of 50 Shakespeare Street on the NTU’s City Campus.
The University’s Curated and Created team is inviting everyone to submit a poem to be considered. It could be something they have written themselves, a classic masterpiece they have loved for years or something they have only just discovered.
Entrants will be asked why they have chosen the particular piece and if it has a connection to NTU or Nottingham.
Barbara Matthews, Executive Dean for Culture at Nottingham Trent University, said: “We hope people will help us to find the right words to display at the heart of our City campus; words that will inspire all those that walk along Shakespeare Street for many years to come. We are proud to live in a UNESCO City of Literature and of our long tradition of teaching and practising creative writing – what better way to celebrate?”
