Nottingham Business School launches free online short courses

At the end of October 2022 Nottingham Business School will launch the first of a selection of online short courses, reflecting in particular its expertise in climate literacy and responsible business and leadership.

Professionals around the world looking to build their skills flexibly can now access the expertise of NBS, which holds four globally recognised hallmarks of excellence and quality for business education, when and where they choose.

Available on global platform, Future Learn, the short programmes involve around two hours of study per week, over the course of three to four weeks. They are taught by sector leading academics and informed by real-world research.

Four new courses will be available, with more to follow next year. They include:

Climate literacy and action for all – providing anyone with an interest in climate literacy with the tools to choose climate solutions with the highest impact in all aspects of their life.

SMART tourism and responsible travel - covering the emergence of the Smart Tourist and the opportunities offered by digital technologies in shaping pro-environmental tourist behaviours.

Leadership tools for ethical problem-solving – designed to give current or prospective leaders a taster of what it entails to deal with values-dilemmas within their organisations.

Developing leadership resilience – leaders will learn the importance of resilience in leadership, how to identify their own stressors and develop strategies for not just coping but thriving.

All of the course content is available for free with a cost of £65 if learners would like a certificate upon completion.

NBS will also release a series of micro-credentials in 2023.They will include a unique stackable approach whereby professionals can earn a PG Certificate in Leadership and Management Practice by achieving 60 credits.
