The project

Vintara is an ambient desk lamp designed for the residential market. Offering a perfect blend of style and practicality to a workspace environment.

Reminiscent of mid-century modern style, highlighting timelessness through quality materials and operational details. Crafted from dark walnut, hand brushed brass and glass. A versatile lighting solution, allowing the user to customize both the intensity and direction of the light through an adjustable shade and dimmer. Not only elevating the appeal of the workspace but also enhancing the overall experience.

The inspiration

With the increasing trend of working from home, homes are transforming into multifunctional spaces that serve both as living areas and workspaces. As a result, the demand for adaptable and versatile furnishings has surged. Designing a pleasant environment where users can comfortably spend hours working is crucial, and lighting plays a pivotal role in that.

Through lighting solutions such as Vintara homeowners can create versatile and inviting spaces that seamlessly transition between work and leisure, enhancing both productivity and comfort in the home environment.

Being part of NTU

Leen's time at NTU has proven to be immensely enriching. Engaging with industry professionals across various design projects has broadened her horizons and allowed her to hone her skills.  The nurturing environment at NTU and guidance from tutors and staff has been instrumental in her academic and personal development. Completing a placement year in furniture development and design provided invaluable insights into industry workings, fostering her professional growth.

Beyond her studies, the friendships and connections Leen has made have been invaluable, enriching her university experience and shaping lasting memories that extend beyond graduation.
