This is the second international book award The Handbook of Carbon Management has achieved, after winning the Bronze award in the ‘Philanthropy / Non-Profit / Sustainability’ category, at the Axiom Business Book Awards.
Written by Professor Petra Molthan-Hill, Fiona Winfield, Dr. Richard Howarth, and Dr. Muhammad Usman Mazhar, and published by Routledge Taylor & Francis Group, the book is an essential guide for managers and employees navigating the complexities of carbon management and climate action.
As businesses face increasing pressure to address climate change, The Handbook of Carbon Management offers timely and practical advice. With just over five years left until 2030—widely regarded as a critical deadline for significant climate progress—the book emphasises the need for immediate action.
Designed to be accessible to readers of all backgrounds, from business owners to employees with no prior knowledge of carbon reduction strategies, the book provides a step-by-step approach to achieving net zero. It covers a wide range of high-impact actions across various departments and functions within an organisation, making it a valuable resource for companies looking to make meaningful contributions to the global fight against climate change.
The Business Book Awards, in partnership with Pathway Group, honours the work of authors who share their expertise and industry knowledge. This year’s win for The Handbook of Carbon Management highlights its importance as a tool for organisations looking to make real progress toward sustainability.
Professor Petra Molthan-Hill said: "This book is a useful tool for anyone, including academics and operational staff at Nottingham Trent University. It can be implemented in their teaching work or when collaborating with external partners".
