NTU Arts’ student Vocal, Instrumental, and Drumming competitions are back

Your chance to perform at University Hall and win one of three cash prizes.

Applications are now open for NTU Arts’ annual student vocal, instrumental, and drumming competitions!

They’re an opportunity to showcase your talent in front of an audience on the University Hall stage – plus there are three cash prizes up for grabs: £100 for first place, £50 for second place and £25 for third place.

Entry requirements

These competitions are open to all NTU and Confetti HE students. You don’t need to be involved with NTU Arts’ music programme or play to a particular grade to take part.

How to apply

To apply for the Vocal and Instrumental competitions, fill in this form by 9 am on Monday 17 February 2025.

To apply for the Drumming competition, complete this online application form by 9 am on Monday 7 April 2025.

What happens next?

You’ll be invited to perform your chosen piece(s) of music as part of your preliminary audition. The finalists will then be invited to perform in front of a professional adjudicator. An accompanist will be available for the final and should be used instead of a backing track where possible.
