Applicants must be current NTU Undergraduate students in their final year or have graduated from their NTU Undergraduate degree within the last two years (2019 summer graduation).

NTU has an ambitious and exciting Civic Programme; the post-holder’s principal duties will be to co-ordinate and assist with the implementation of The Mansfield and Ashfield Development Programme, working with internal and external stakeholders.

The Mansfield and Ashfield Development Programme has been co-created in consultation with local stakeholders. It aims to improve educational opportunities, increase access to Higher Education, embed culture in local policy, develop the towns to attract economic investment and increase economic prosperity.

The post-holder will assist with this work and have the opportunity to become involved in the various workstreams, their governance arrangements, and gain experience of working with external civic organisations and other stakeholders in the university’s fulfilment of its role as an anchor institution.

The post-holder will assist the Head of Civic Engagement and other NTU colleagues - all of whom are passionate about working together to co-create and co-deliver this Programme to make a positive difference to the residents and businesses in the post-industrial area of Mansfield and Ashfield.

The post-holder will have the opportunity to engage in the spectrum of NTU’s civic engagement activities including Universities for Nottingham (a collaboration between NTU and the University of Nottingham).
