Sustainability in the Curriculum
NTU is a sector leader in sustainability. We’ve been recognised as one of the greenest universities in the UK for the past eight years, most recently being awarded third place in the 2019 People & Planet University League.
Our research explores low carbon technologies, sustainable consumption, green mobility and sustainability policies, in order to improve performance and energy efficiency.

Net Zero Carbon
NTU has pledged to achieve Net Zero Carbon emissions across all three carbon scopes by 2040 in order to create a Zero Carbon culture across the NTU community.

Sustainability in Enterprise programme
With support from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) a range of departments, including the Sustainability Team, at NTU are now available to offer to support to eligible Nottingham small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) as part of the Sustainability in Enterprise (SiE) programme.

Development work begins on Home Farm workshops
Nottingham Trent University's agricultural studies Home Farm workshops, based at Brackenhurst Campus, to be developed and updated to enable student recruitment and portfolio growth in this subject area. Among other updates, the construction will have asbestos roofs removed and works will reconfigure up to 400 square metres of learning space.
