Introduction:
There is always a lot of competition for interior design work, so it’s essential that you can demonstrate as much experience and knowledge in your CV and portfolio as possible.
This course therefore aims to build on previous design studies, and is ideal for anyone seriously considering a career as an interior designer.
The course will provide hands-on experience of all the stages involved in medium-sized interior design projects, from briefing to design development and on to visualisation.
The projects will cover both domestic and commercial/public spaces, and you will be mentored at every stage.
The course is based on practical work, combining lectures and workshops with manageable homework assignments and one-to-one portfolio advice.
You will be provided with client briefs, and be expected to research and develop a design scheme, and produce presentation and construction documents.
What will I gain?
By the end of the course, you’ll have the start of a professional looking portfolio for you to continue adding to after the course.
You’ll also have the skills and confidence to tackle a creative project for a client.
Indicative maximum class size: 15
