Introduction:
Please note: This course is delivered through the Smart and Inclusive Leadership project, which is part funded by the European Social Fund. Nottingham Trent University (NTU) is pleased to offer free (fully funded) places on this course to support employees of small and medium businesses that are based in Nottinghamshire or Derbyshire.
The extent, pace and scale of change businesses need to manage has grown significantly, particularly for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), this can pose challenges around the resources, capacity or skills needed to manage change.
Our Effective Change Management course is designed to help senior professionals, managers and leaders within SMEs to develop knowledge and skills in managing change. The course will help you to understand how to design, implement and lead change effectively.
What you’ll study
The course will cover the following topics:

As a result of completing the course, you will be able to demonstrate:
- the insight gained into researched, evidence-based and well-established approaches to change management whilst also providing opportunities to apply new knowledge to changes within your organisation.
- an exploration into organisational barriers to change.
- an understanding of how to effectively implement change.
- an understanding of the impact of leadership and personal effectiveness during change.
- effective ways to engage people with change.
What you'll gain:
This course is accredited as a 20-credit module at postgraduate level, but you do not need to have any prior qualifications to attend.

Session 4: 10 October 2023, 9.30 am - 4.30 pm (1 hour break)
Session 5: 17 October 2023, 9.30 am - 10.30 am (assessment support)

Entry requirements
To be eligible to apply for a place on this course you must be employed by a small or medium business (under 250 employees) based in Nottinghamshire or Derbyshire.
No previous qualifications or experience is needed to access this course.
