Across three of our campuses, we have fabulous event spaces suitable for gala dinners and award ceremonies, both contemporary and historic, including outdoor marquee areas and intimate dining rooms.
Most of our dining venues have access to an outdoor courtyard; an elegant outdoor space perfect for drinks receptions to use before heading into the main event. During the summer months (weather permitting of course) it’s also a great setting for a BBQ. Our dining rooms provide you with a grand canvas for themed events and we can assist you in the hire of dance floors, live bands, bars, staging, lighting and any other requirements you may have.
Historic to contemporary
As one of the finest private dining venues in Nottingham, choosing Nottingham City Campus introduces you to two beautifully restored Grade II* listed buildings. The Arkwright building, built in 1887, has a variety of function rooms suitable for gala dinners and private celebrations. Our dynamic event spaces offer stunning private dining areas with plenty of natural light, curved ceilings, parquet floors and restored 19th-century period features, the perfect backdrop for corporate dinners, conference dinners, award dinners and festive treats.
Opposite the Arkwright Building on Shakespeare Street, we are lucky to have access to 50 Shakespeare Street, built in 1887 previously Nottingham’s Registry Office. The courtroom, where many Nottingham residents married, has been transformed into an inmate private dining space and can seat up to 50 guests.
In addition, our Central Court space, housed in the Art Deco-style Newton building, transforms itself to a stunning dining area for up to 300 guests.
Our latest dining facilities
University Hall’s new luxury dining facility offers contemporary furnishing, casual seating and balcony access, making it the perfect event space for a dinner or drinks reception. Seating up to 18 for a dinner it’s the perfect event space for an intimate dining experience.
Marquees in the rolling countryside
Brackenhurst Campus, with its rural setting, is the perfect choice if you are looking to host your event in a marquee, or the newly opened Lyth Building - a stunning building where modern meets rustic. Enjoy your drinks reception and canapés outdoors around the mirror pool, or take time to wander the grounds and enjoy nature.
Menus for all occasions
Our experienced chefs design creative menus using the abundance of locally sourced seasonal ingredients, and we cater for all special dietary requirements. If you are looking for a bespoke choice for your event, our chefs can meet with you to design a menu to suit and your event manager will recommend complementary wines.
