Expensive but definitely worth it all
Would honesty really recommend. Yes it is very pricey but well worth it for the location. Any issues are handled really quickly and the staff are super friendly. Even the laundry room is pretty good especially for uni! Only downside is the size of the rooms.
Great variety of opportunities around the area, Lots of events and activities hosted by the Upp Halls community which allows social interaction and entertainment opportunities. Great security in place and makes me feel safe. Great location from university and city centre. I’m currently paying £220 a week for 42 weeks, which is a really expensive price to pay with minimum room benefits, such as only a single bed, no tv, quite small bedrooms, Poor noise isolation as It’s very easy to hear people talking in the hallways and next door to you. No air ventilation in the bathroom as a wet room would be great. But has good amount of storage space. Decent kitchen space too.
Byron is a great residence to meet students at freshers and have a smooth introduction to university. But I had an incident with the cleaning staff as they took a kettle from me and the residence never repayme for the incident. A part from that its a good residence to start your student life.
Sometimes issues with electrical appliances but resolved quickly. Lift also breaks often. Great location,
Byron has been a great first year experience. It’s socially one of the best accoms around however it is way too expensive for what it is.
i really like the building as a whole
Awesome Wi-Fi for any downloads or projects, awesome social space for meeting people especially at freshers.
Very good value for money, great staff, always hosting social nights, loud but expected
Met some of my best friends in these halls. The rooms are really nice and the staff are lovely!
Great accomidation for social life and meeting people , very expensive but worth it for first years who enjoy socializing
Bit expensive but amazing social life and great crowd right in the centre of the fun and Ntu city campus
The location of my accommodation is ideal as it’s only a 5 minute walk to city centre and right by the buildings where you have lectures if your course is based in city centre. The only problem is that sometimes it can be quite loud as the student union is right below it.
so sociable found so many friends and the rooms are lovely!!
Byron is a great accomodation for anyone who wants to live close enough to the centre with light actually being in it. It’s close enough to anything you need weather it be bars, clubs or shops. It’s great for mixing with new people and getting you ready for city life.
Loved the halls, really nice outdoor area. Amenities are really good. Loved having an ensuite
I love my accom and space, not enough storage. Staff are amazing
Really central and nice rooms, for the price though you’d expect more like a TV in the kitchen or a proper bathroom (not a wet room) and maybe more of a social space outside rather than just a bench or two. But overall the rooms are really nice and it’s in a good location. The staff are friendly and when we reported issues they were fixing them in less than an hour and the cleaner was there every week and did a really good job!
Throughly enjoyed staying here, facilities are good an really like the modern rooms an kitchen, good location and social spaces
