Overall the experience at Hampden was lovely and really nuce for the price, the refurbished kitchens looked really good and although there had been a few issues regarding mold or furniture the issues were solved quickly overall.
Good accomadation everything works good.
Hampden halls was a very good accommodation for the first year as it was more affordable then the other options and had a more cozier feel in comparison, as it was six person flat rather than a number like eleven.
Paying way too much for what it is: Bathroom - Shared and tiny, care barely fit in the shower really and the sink is quite small for a shared bathroom. Bedroom - The bed is quite good but: the whole space is tiny, the walls are just breeze blocks painted over and the wiring is in metal pipes that are obviously along the walls; the curtain isn't the best either Soundproofing - it is a separate issue, people blast music past 11 and it is only resolved when you call up about it, which is resolved quite quickly to be fair, but the walls themselves are not soundproof really either. Kitchen - its alright although, it is small and most of them have a useless breakfast bar, it sounds nice to have but with how little space there is, it takes up too much room. The seats are also quite uncomfortable. How it looks - not too great either, it seems like a bit of a dirty place and the whole flats are just too small for 6 people
I’ve had the best time in Hampden, especially landing with such great flatmates being from the South. Hampden is such good value for money, despite having a few hiccups but i would definitely recommend for first years wanting to meet people!
Overall pretty decent after the refurbishment
Better than expected, balcony offers a great way to socialise with other flatts.
It’s good, bit small but good if you get along with your flat mates, it’s simple and cute
Hampden is a nice place to live, definitely the best accommodation for the price around the centre. I do wish there were slightly more social spaces, such as a courtyard. The cleaning is good and the staff are generally quick to help if needed. The location is definitely a major perk- being right next to university next to other accommodations.
Really good accom to be in if your very sociable , in a really good location for lectures and to get to town
Great location, really close to Nottingham city centre, food shops and all the university buildings. Good sized and well equipped kitchen for 6 people. Easy to use app to report any problems with the accommodation for example a broken appliance and a quick response. Great park super close to the accommodation and only about a 25 minute walk from the train station
Good hall, in a good part of the city. Any issues were dealt with quickly
Hampden is a great accomodation for the price. It’s the cheapest of the city accommodations and totally worth living there. The kitchen is modern and nice, great location I can get to my lecture in minutes. Close to the city centre so great for going to clubs as no need to taxis. The reception are incredibly helpful if there’s any issues they get it all sorted
Hampden is amazing it’s like having your own home with your own front door
Our flat has flooded 3 times, however everything else has been ok.
The rooms were small but we bonded close as a flat in the social area. The cleaners and maintenance were also super responsive, felt very safe and was 1 min walk from the Uni. I met my partner of 4 years in these halls.
Good accommodation, rooms are slightly small and have had problems with mold and damp
Overall, Hampden was a good location as it was right next to the university and only 10 minutes into the city centre. The flat looked really good, the only disadvantage is shared bathrooms.
Amazing maintenance and safety team, comfortable rooms with desks and plenty of storage space, and a laundry area located in the vicinity.
