You could say New Hall has the perfect location. It’s right at the heart of the Clifton Campus, just seconds from the shop, the gym, lectures and The Point – a pub, diner and club all rolled into one. Here, you’ll share a flat with up to 10 students and share a bright, modern and spacious kitchen. The kitchen is perfect for socialising, but if you prefer you can choose a studio room with your own kitchen area. The choice is yours!

Please note that some rooms at New Hall are subject to early buyback, which means that we reserve the right to buy your room back from you from the 38th week of your contract. You’ll find more details about this during the booking process.

Please also note that we unfortunately aren’t able to permit New Hall residents to bring a car.

Home at Halls social programme

Your experience in halls is about more than just a room. The Home at Halls programme – centred around UPP’s halls, gives access to 150+ free events including weekly socials, ‘do it together’ activity kits, celebrity speakers, cultural events, life skill sessions, competitions and giveaways. It's a great way to meet new people and try new things.

NTU Talks brings you seminars with well-known names. In the 2022/23 academic year, guests included Jamie Laing, Dr Alex George and GK Barry. It's a brilliant way to discuss important topics such as university life, business and mental health.

Clifton Campus

Following a multi-million pound investment programme, the new and improved Clifton is looking better than ever. We’ve developed a cutting-edge Campus, with your own needs in mind – it’s the perfect blend of peaceful spaces and big ideas. We’ve recently added the Pavilion, a state-of-the-art sports centre, new and improved accommodation, and a number of high-spec laboratories. We’ve also invested over £5m in the Clifton Library, and refurbished The Point – Clifton’s social hub and the home of the Students’ Union.

You’ll be based at the Clifton Campus if you’re studying a course in:

  • Computing, Maths and other technologies
  • English, History and Philosophy
  • Languages and Linguistics
  • Politics and International studies
  • Media and Communication
  • Sciences including Sport Sciences
  • Teacher Training, Education and Childhood Studies

The Clifton Campus is situated four miles from Nottingham city centre. During term time, the award-winning Go2Uni 4 bus service runs door-to-door routes every eight minutes. Nottingham’s excellent tram service has been extended into Clifton too, giving you a direct link to the train station. It’s also opened up some of the city’s hidden treasures – there are shops, pubs and restaurants galore to explore, just beyond Nottingham’s centre.
