The accommodation is near to our City Campus. Located in the heart of Nottingham, it gives you the best of both worlds: a comfortable living space on or near campus, and a lively city centre. You’ll love living and studying in an area that’s tailor-made for students. Travel links include frequent bus and tram routes, with the city’s main bus and train stations close by. Students studying at Clifton, Brackenhurst or the Mansfield Hub can also choose to live in city-based halls. See which campus your subject is taught at to help choose your new home.

Simpsons is a great place to stay, the communal kitchen was spacious and modern. However, we did not have any other communal areas which would have been nice and the outside area on site is just a car park. So you have to walk around 5 mins to a park to relax outside. Overall I would say that for me it was a great place to stay 1st year and I would recommend it.
Living at Simpsons Halls has been a great and fun experience! The UPP staff are lovely and welcoming and the cleaners are also friendly. The accommodation itself is really good! The bedrooms are a great size as well as the bathrooms. You are given all the necessities such as a desk chair, a desk, a NTU calender, a pinboard etc. The parking is also good. The social area is the kitchen which has tables and chairs and 2 sofas. The kitchen itself is a good size with plenty of cupboards, fridges and freezers. The walk to NTU is around 15 minutes, the hill can be a killer but it’s not that bad! However you can purchase a bus pass which takes you to the university and into the city. Furthermore, there is a lovely scenic route you can take into the city which is a tad longer but it’s fun to explore! There’s a sainsburys local just round the corner, a tesco express about a 5 minute walk away and a shop area 15mins away with a big sainsburys, lidl, b&m, gym, mcdonald’s, pizza hut & pub & costa!
Simpsons Halls has been a pleasure to stay in for my first year of university. Although the price may appear expensive to others, its location definitely makes up for it. Surrounded by multiple shops, pubs, bars, a cinema and a roller rink, it’s a no brainier to choose Simpsons. The staff are super accommodating and friendly, with the cleaners always greeting me in the morning with the classic Nottinghamshire phrase “How are you me duck”. All the buildings are so close together along for a strong community to be built, with social experiences like no other. Thank you Simpsons Halls for an amazing first year! I would recommend to everyone!
Living at Simpsons Halls has been a fun experience, the UPP staff are lovely and friendly. The accommodation itself is really good, the bedrooms are a great size and bathrooms the same. The kitchen has tables and chairs and 2 sofas, which makes up for the fact there isn’t a separate area for socialising haha! The parking is also great. The walk to NTU is about 15 minutes, however the hill can sometimes be a killer in the heat but you can get the orange line buses into the city and also to university. There’s a lovely scenic walk you can take into the city although it’s a tad longer it was lovely to explore. There’s a sainsburys local just round the corner and a tesco express a little bit further (5 min walk), there is also a shopping area with a gym, mcdonald’s, lidl, big sainsburys, b&m and a costa! Altogether, I’m glad I chose Simpsons as my student accommodation for the first year! I would recommend it to my friends and family.
I’ve loved living here, the people I’ve met have been incredible and for the price it is a great accommodation, living slightly farther away from town to have a cinema, Tescos and Sainsbury’s next door is worth it.
The rooms are spacious, small flat sizes allow for flatmates to get to know each other and manage mess more efficiently in communal areas, lovely bathrooms, relatively quiet, with on site staff security 24/7. in staying again next year
The walk isn't bad once you get used to it. Security and maintenance are very helpful. I think it's a good place to live.
Love the staff they are so sweet and lovely
Overall my experience of Simpsons halls has been really good. My room is spacious and I like having my own bathroom. The kitchen is really nice. unfortunately you have to pay £250 for a car permit in the car park on top of your rent.
It’s a really good accommodation, the rooms are quite big and the buses are easy to use. There’s a lot of local shops nearby, within a 5 minute walk and the staff and onsite security are helpful and friendly.
The cleaning services are superb and the staff are always available to help. You’re very safe at Simpsons!
Much better than I thought it'd be.
My experience living at Simpsons has been great.
While the accommodation is great in itself I found that what made my time special to me was the people I was with, all of my flat are lovely and the staff are incredibly friendly and accommodating. Overall I wouldn’t trade it for the world as I made some great friends
Simpsons Halls - Nottingham Trent University Accommodation Review My overall experience at Simpsons Halls was pleasant, with a few standout moments and one key concern for prospective residents. Pros: - The en-suite room was spacious and comfortable, with all the amenities for a pleasant stay. Staff was kind and helpful, and they addressed maintenance issues quickly. - Safe neighbourhood with adequate security - Fully renovated kitchens for socializing - Convenient amenities include on-site parking, gym, and movie - Relatively inexpensive compared to other lodgings in Nottingham. Key Consideration: The main disadvantage is the transport. While the halls are around a 10-minute bus ride from Nottingham Trent University's City Campus, they may not be perfect for students who prefer to stay near the city centre. Those who want close proximity may find the bus ride and short distance bothersome.
