Workshops and classes

Get involved in our one-off workshops and regular classes – from music theatre dance to African drumming, beatboxing and gospel singing there's lots lined-up. We'll be announcing new events throughout the year, so keep a lookout!

DJ Skills workshops

New for 2023/24, our free DJ Skills workshops will provide essential knowledge for anyone interested in getting behind the decks in a welcoming, sociable environment. No experience is necessary – whether you want to get out and start gigging or you're just interested in having a go, you'll have the opportunity to pick things up at your own pace. Spaces are limited, so book your place now!

Musical Theatre classes

Our Musical Theatre classes are back! Predominantly dance-based, at times they'll combine singing, dancing and acting. Join professional dancer, actress and singer Sarah Rymond to work on different musical numbers throughout the year. Our Musical Theatre classes are open to all abilities and are a fun way to hone your skills in performing arts. No audition and no experience necessary.

Who can join? NTU students, staff and alumni

Yearly cost: £20 for the year (students), £40 (staff / alumni)
Where? Dance Studio, Music Centre, City Campus
When? Tuesdays during term time, 6 – 8 pm

We recommend wearing comfortable workout clothing and trainers to these classes.
