Our portfolio of at-distance PhDs has been designed for candidates who require a more flexible mode to undertake their doctoral research. These part-time, structured programmes are delivered online, over a period of four years. Candidates may take up to seven years to complete. We can offer at-distance PhDs across our academic schools with projects aligned to our research centres.
Every researcher on an at-distance programme is strongly encouraged to spend eight weeks with us in Nottingham over the course of their degree.
