See below for our hourly and daily prices for occasional hire. You can also contact us today to discuss your individual requirements for bespoke pricing. We can offer options that include horse, handler, classroom and yard facilities. You can also make block bookings for regular sessions.
Facilities available to hire
All prices listed below include access to jumps or dressage equipment for you to set up as you wish upon arrival. You also have access to free parking and nearby toilets.
Mary King indoor arena
Our Mary King arena is 55 x 40 metres with a Prowax sand riding surface. It includes a 279-seat gallery area, perfect for events or to observe training and research. This space can accommodate two arenas during dressage training and unaffiliated dressage competitions. It can also be used as one arena for showjump training.
Outdoor arena
Our outdoor riding school is 60 x 40 metres with a waxed sand and fibre surface. It's enclosed by fencing and fully floodlit.
The outdoor arena provides a fantastic open space to support with improving your riding skills, such as jumping.
Prices
Indoor arena
- £20 per hour for one half of arena (55m x 20m). The other half may be used by liveries or other clients. (Please note that this cost is for two horses. You can add more horses can at a cost of £5 each, up to a maximum of four horses). Please view our live calendar feed below to book this option online
- £40 per hour for whole arena (55m x 40m), for up to a maximum of ten horses. Please email us if you wish to book this option.
Outdoor arena
- £30 per hour for whole arena — up to a maximum of ten horses
- £20 per hour for whole arena — one horse only.
Full-day hire
- 8 hours (e.g. 9am to 5pm) — booking for both parts of indoor arena: £300
- 8 hours (e.g. 9am to 5pm) — booking for outdoor arena: £200
- 8 hours (e.g. 9am to 5pm) — booking for both arenas: £500.
We also offer ad hoc hire of the arenas with a showjump course or dressage arenas already set up. This is available during vacation periods throughout the year. When available, these will show online on our live calendar feed below.

I find the arena good value for money to hire and super useful especially through those winter months when a lot of people are not able to exercise their horses due to dark nights or bad weather, easy to get too and always clean and tidy. Very grateful of the use of this super equestrian venue.

The South Notts Pony Club regularly use the facilities at Brackenhurst for winter training and for indoor competitions. The arena has a fabulous surface and the lighting is great for evening use. Our kids love the hot chocolate in the drinks machine! Parking is great, and easy access from the main road.
