Role
James is a Senior Lecturer in Paramedic Practice and Emergency Care and is the course lead for the Paramedic Science BSc here at NTU. James teaches across all paramedicine courses here at NTU and is the module lead for the Complex and Specialist Issues Module. Themes within this module include major incident management, complex clinical care needs and multi disciplinary working.
Career overview
James has extensive experience in the pre-hospital care setting, having worked with a variety of NHS Ambulance Trusts, alongside working within the private sphere covering a variety of sporting events and large scale public events. James has developed experience in education having worked on apprenticeship pathways within ambulance trusts, prior to commencing employment within the higher education setting.
Research areas
James has recently been part of a wider team completing a scoping review exploring the experiences of student paramedics and their exposure to violence.
