Facilities

Extensive resources, a wide range of study spaces, and award-winning customer service – what more could you need? We’ve invested heavily in our collections, facilities, décor and furniture, to ensure that you learn in comfort. As a first-class learning environment, the Boots Library will help you to be the best you can.

You’ll find nearly 400 PCs here, and handily-placed power outlets for your own devices. We’ve also expanded our range of learning spaces – concentrate in quiet comfort, or work with your course-mates in one of our group study rooms. Whether you’re looking for a silent study space, or a decent spot to throw some ideas around, the Boots Library’s got you covered.

Most of our collections are accessible online. Visit our Library site for more information on borrowing books, digital services, study support, postal loans, self-service laptop loans, visitor access, and our inter-library arrangements.

Take a break

Rest your brain, and stretch your legs – the Boots Library is the perfect learning environment, but it’s important to give yourself a break every now and then. Based at the heart of our City Campus, a cup of coffee’s never too far away. Relax in the library's Starbucks, or, alternatively, the café pods and restaurants in Newton and Bonington are all within easy reach. And if you’re just looking to blow away the cobwebs, the beautiful Arboretum is right on your doorstep.

Stuck to your books? Then head to Level 4, for a change of scene – the Boots Library’s rooftop garden offers a landscaped outdoor study space with plants, seating made from sustainable materials, and excellent Wi-Fi coverage. And what’s more, the views over Nottingham are stunning.
