Geospatial Computer Laboratory
This 60-seated computer room is the perfect facility for geospatial analysis, i.e. the collection, analysis, and interpretation of data related to the Earth's surface. These high spec computers have dual screens to allow students to undertake GIS (Geographic Information Systems), remote sensing and processing of geospatial data from drones, satellites and other sensors that we use to support the computer based learning.
NTU uses a range of industry standard and open source software (including ArcGIS, QGIS, ERDAS Imagine and R) to provide a framework for gathering, managing, and analysing data. This allows students to create maps, perform spatial analysis and visualisation in both 2D and 3D.
