More about Courtney

Why did you choose to study your course at NTU?

I had worked with people which were completing the course previously and always thought it seemed to be extremely interesting and wanted to learn more about the technical roles within the food industry.

What do you enjoy most about your course?

I enjoy all of the different modules and learning about how they all link in with different roles within the food industry.

How do you find your modules and what have you most enjoyed studying?

I am really enjoying studying the different modules but I think the one I have enjoyed the most was chemistry.

What do you think about the facilities available on your course?

I think the facilities are brilliant and anything you need is always available.

What do you think about Brackenhurst Campus? What do you get up to in your spare time?

I think the campus is great and there’s a lot there; I often spend my free time in The Orangery.

What is your top tip for someone considering studying at Brackenhurst Campus?

The best way to travel to campus is via the bus from Nottingham, it provides a very regular service.

Have you been involved in any placements, work experience or volunteering as part of your course? If so, what did you do and what did you achieve?

I am currently doing an apprenticeship so have been working throughout my degree towards gaining experience within the profession I have chosen. This is very good as it helps me to gain knowledge for the profession I have chosen.

Why would you recommend your course to someone considering studying it?

I would recommend this course because it’s a great way to gain the knowledge as well as gain the skills within the industry.

What are your plans for after the course and how do you feel your course has/ will help you to achieve that goal?

I would definitely like to work within the food industry- but I would like to explore the different roles within the technical department in the food industry.

Any additional comments:

All members of staff are friendly and very welcoming on the campus, as well as the students.
